Girl Scout 2014 National Council / 53rd Convention

Salt Lake City, UT (Calvin L. Rampton Salt Palace Convention Center)
Thursday, October 16th – Saturday October 18th

Exhibiting Hours:

  • Thursday, October 16: 1:30PM – 6:30PM
  • Friday, October 17: 9:00AM – 5:00PM
  • Saturday, October 18th: 9:00AM – 4:00PM

Volunteers Needed: 2-3 (preferably female, preferably a Girl Scout alumna)

Type of Work: Helping at exhibit booth, including speaking with Girl Scouts and troop leaders about Space Camp and our programs, handing out materials, getting troop leaders to sign-up for more information.


Scoutfest Boy Scout Event

Point Mallard Park, Decatur, AL
Saturday, November 8th 7:00AM – 7:00PM

Volunteers Needed: Requesting 4 or 5 volunteers (could be split into a couple shifts) for the day

Type of Work: Staffing the sales booth and talking with visitors about camp experience and programs, getting them to opt-in for email updates or sign up for alumni newsletter, etc.  Expecting 8,000-9,000 scouts.


Rocket City Marathon

Huntsville, AL (for course segment at U.S. Space & Rocket Center)
Saturday, December 12th 9:30AM – 2:00PM

Volunteers Needed: 5 to 6 people to help

Type of Work: Race Marshalls – people who can direct racers & museum guests through Rocket Park during the race.
